“Lexington County Blowfish Baseball was honored with a resolution from Lexington County Council during their meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 26. Blowfish owners Bill and Vicki Shanahan accepted the award on behalf of the team.
Blowfish Baseball was awarded this resolution for winning the 2023 Coastal Plain League (CPL) Petitt Cup Championship. But that is just one of their many accomplishments this season.
The Blowfish also earned the following recognitions:
– CPL Organization of the Year (second year in a row)
– Executive of the Year (GM Tony Baldwin)
– Broadcaster of the Year (Noah Adcock-Howeth)
Each year, the Blowfish organization also makes a point to give back to the community through multiple events including jersey auctions and fundraisers, partnerships with local charities, recognition of military and first responders during their home games, and much more.
