LEXINGTON COUNTY, SC – Celebrating its 20th anniversary, Blowfish Baseball will host its second-ever Alumni Game Saturday, July 19 at Lexington County Baseball Stadium. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.

The Blowfish are expected to welcome back 16 former players and three head coaches for the 20th anniversary celebration, as the Alumni will face the current Blowfish team Saturday night.

Two of the 16 players, Timmy Martin and Tony Graham, played for the Blowfish in the 2006 inaugural campaign, when the team was located in Columbia. The Blowfish played their first nine seasons at Historic Capital City Stadium in Columbia which included players Cody Smith (2013, ’14) and Derrick Smith (2010, ’13),

Six more players played multiple seasons in Lexington County: Jared Kirven (2020, ’21), Josh Senter (2019, ’20), Carson Starnes (2022, ’23, ’24), Wells Sykes (2022, ’23, ’24) and Ashby Vining (2023, ’24).

Starnes, Sykes and Vining were all part of Lexington County’s championship team in 2023. Sykes was a starter for Coastal Carolina during the team’s run to the 2025 College World Series. Vining now plays for the Savanah Bananas developmental squad, the Visitors.

Jonathan Johnson, the organization’s winningest coach, will be joined by other former skippers, Tim Medlin (first-ever head coach in program history) and KC Brown. Brown was the head coach of the Blowfish during the 2023 championship campaign.

Additionally, the Blowfish will host a birthday party for its mascot, Blowie the Blowfish. He will be joined by several mascot friends including Cocky from the University of South Carolina and The Tiger from Clemson University.

Gates open at 6 p.m. for the 7-inning contest.
