Lexington County Blowfish Baseball Club- The Blowfish are a summer collegiate baseball team playing in the Coastal Plain League. Celebrating a CPL Championship in 2023 and. now in our 19th season- players come from local, regional & national universities and colleges. The Blowfish were voted the CPL Organization of the Year!

The Hootie & the Blowfish Foundation, established in 2000, was created so the band could support charities that were near and dear to their hearts. Among a multitude of philanthropy efforts, the guys focus on public education issues in South Carolina, the state that nurtured their aspirations from the beginning of their career. They aim to support the ongoing fight to even the playing field in educational funding and lend an encouraging hand to all those in need.

The LMC Foundation has a very special program they would like to see supported by this year’s Blowfish Night proceeds . The program is well-aligned with the Hootie Foundation’s mission and areas of focus around education.

Partners Program
This program allows Lexington Medical Center and the LMC Foundation to invest in the next generation of compassionate healthcare professionals that will serve and support our community! Every year, this summer health career awareness program introduces various departments in the healthcare industry to 70 enthusiastic, bright high school students, who have a genuine interest in a health care related career. Participants complete three rotations through a variety of clinical areas, learning about various careers including professional and allied health careers such as Radiologic Technologist, Physical Therapist, Surgical Technologist, Nursing, Administration, and other patient support roles.
