LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. – The Lexington County Blowfish announced Joey Norris as its new assistant general manager on Wednesday. Norris brings a wealth of experience in ticket sales and operations to the organization.

Norris returns to the Blowfish family after a stint in 2020 with the team as a group sales intern and box office manager. He later served as a group sales executive for the Hickory Crawdads and then was promoted to director of ticket operations before transitioning to Teall Properties Group as an account manager.

“Joey’s dedication and expertise make him an invaluable addition to our team,” Blowfish General Manager Tony Baldwin said. “We’re excited to have him back in Lexington County and look forward to the impact he’ll make in our organization.”

Norris, who also is a 2020 sports and enterainment management graduate from the University of South Carolina, is a native Kensington, Maryland.

“I’m thrilled to return to the Blowfish and contribute to the organization’s success,” Norris said. “I’m eager to work alongside such a passionate team and continue building connections with our fans and community. I really enjoyed working alongside Bill and Vicki Shanahan in 2020, and I’m looking forward to continuing the mission of providing family-friendly entertainment for everyone in Lexington County.”

The Blowfish will open the 2024 season on May 24 against the Macon Bacon. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. For information about tickets, click here.
